Thee Headcoats were mainly Billy Childish, Git\/Vox, Bruce Brand, drums, (who had already earned the crown of \u201cKings of Raw Rhythm \u2019n\u2019 Beat Punk\u201d in the UK with their earlier bands, The Pop Rivets and The Milkshakes), and Johnny Johnson ,bass, and they formed in 1989 after Billy\u2019s previous band Thee Mighty Caesers gave up the ghost. Trying to sum up the career and discography of Thee Headcoats in just a few lines is basically impossible (between 1989 and 1999, Thee Headcoats would go on to record 19 albums and more than double that amount of 45s!!). If you\u2019re heading to Funtastic, we\u2019re pretty sure you already know one of the greatest garage-punk bands ever\u2014but just in case, here\u2019s a link to Damaged Goods, the label that\u2019s released their latest stuff (and yeah, they\u2019re absolute masterpieces).
