The Sleeveens
The Sleeveens (an informal Irish term for someone sly, crafty, or a bit of a charmer with a roguish edge) are a formidable Nashville-based band led by Irish-born Stef Murphy. Carrying forward the legacy of the Good Vibrations label (home to The Undertones, Protex, Rudi, The Outcasts…), they land right at the crossroads of high-octane pub rock and ’77 punk, injecting a fresh, contemporary edge. The result: infectious hooks, razor-sharp songwriting, and lyrics that are witty, reflective, and strikingly original. Despite forming as recently as 2022, they’ve wasted no time making an impact. Following the release of two 7″ singles on Sweet Time and Interstate 94, they quickly caught the attention of some of the most respected labels around. Their debut LP arrived in 2024 via Dirtnap, with a brand-new release just out on Goner. Their entire discography comes highly recommended.
They’ve already lit up some of the finest stages and festivals on the circuit—and now they’re heading to Funtastic, fully primed to tear the place apart.
