King Automatic started out in the mid-’90s as the drummer for the French punk band Thundercrack, but in the early 2000s he switched things up completely, taking the whole “one-man band” idea to a whole new level. Live, he samples and loops organ, guitar, harmonica, and percussion, building a huge sound where he mixes Jamaican rocksteady with rhythm & blues or bebop so smoothly that, if you close your eyes, it feels like you’re hearing a full band (or even an orchestra).
We’re stoked to have him at Funtastic!
Les Pick-Ups are a band from Alicante made up of Patricia aka Jenny Fuzz (vocals), Sergi Bordestone (guitar), Sandra aka Shelby Cobra (guitar), TurboPablo (bass), and Alest Bonobo (drums) who move among garage, punk’n’roll and power pop.
With two LPs under their belt—Shake and Break and Bossy Love (the latter released by Disquera La Cucaracha and Sweet Grooves Records)—they’re hitting Funtastic ready to go all out.
Pat Todd, originally from Indiana, moved to Los Angeles in the early 1980s, where he fronted the incredible The Lazy Cowgirls for over two decades (1983-2004).
After the band disbanded, he formed The Rankoutsiders to continue exploring a sound that blends old-school punk with influences from country, blues, and classic rock and roll. His music has been described as a mix of Chuck Berry, Hank Williams, the Rolling Stones, and Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers—a blend of direct, honest, and visceral rock and roll with the urgency of punk.
The band has maintained a steady output, releasing numerous albums and EPs on labels such as Ghost Highway Recordings and Heavy Medication Records, and touring extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Australia.
Lothario is the visceral, razor-edged solo project of Melbourne’s Annaliese Redlich, who creates punk anthems for the bored, horny, and reckless. Conceived in her bedroom in November 2022, Lothario’s music is a raw outpouring of late-night hedonism, encapsulating themes of sex, conflict, and rebellion. Redlich’s songwriting is a cathartic exploration of betrayal, booze, boyfriends, and bullies – offering a momentary escape from self-doubt and vulnerability. Her music challenges listeners to confront their demons and seize their power. Lothario’s inception was marked by a lo-fi immediacy, with Redlich recording all the instruments, except drums, in her living room. The result is an urgent, desperate menace that resonates through her lyrics and soundscapes. The songs are love letters to losers, filled with an unfiltered intensity that invites listeners to rage until daybreak. Redlich debuted Lothario live in March 2023, initially performing solo with just her laptop. By June 2023, Lothario had evolved into a full band, amplifying the project’s raw energy on stage but still remains predominantly a solo project to this day.
The live lineup has featured notable musicians including Billiam, Sarah Hardiman, Shauna Boyle (Cable Ties), Elsa Birrel (Shove), Jay Power, Al Hall (Cutters) among others. She has toured US and Europe. Lothario has released several singles and one album where she has had luxury collaborators (Ishka from Tee Vee Repairmann, Buck Biloxi…).
Scotland’s top Rock n’ Roll Combo!
In keeping with great Rock & Roll, Lord Rochester embrace the simplicity of sound and song using the maraca powered shuffle of artists such as Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Jimmy Reed and Lonnie Mack to create great stripped back driven rock and roll.
Entertaining and stylish!
Since they first got together in 2008 they have released a lot of vinyl and two CDs. Lord Rochester have also performed in session for the BBC, recorded at the famous Perrotti Studios in Gijon, Spain and provide the theme music for the ’Vic Galloway Show’ on BBC Radio Scotland.
Scotland’s best sounding (and best looking) rock and roll show have toured Japan, played all over Europe and the UK and toured their native Scotland from the Borders to Aberdeenshire and from the Central Belt to the Highlands and not forgetting the Shetland Islands. Be it high profile music festivals or small intimate shows, the effect is the same; always entertaining and stylish, the trio (guitar, bass, spartan drum set and three voices) bewitch the audience, large or small. Fundamentally, Lord Rochester is one of the easiest bands to put on, they turn up on time, have a very short sound-check, have the best looking guitars and are decked out in tartan
Twenty One Children are the riotous punk pulse of Johannesburg — a fearless trio tearing up the rulebook and rewriting South Africa’s alt-music playbook. Born from the bond between friends Thula and Abdula completed by drummer Biko, their sound fuses the grit of U.S. skate punk with the heartbeat of Soweto, erupting in a whirlwind of noise, soul, and subversion. With sharp wit and an unshakable DIY ethos, they’re not just a band — they’re a movement. From building the local skate park to throwing benefit shows for schoolbooks, Twenty One Children bleed community. Their music crackles with the defiance of Dead Kennedys, yet pulses with a distinctly homegrown fire. Spending 2025 turning heads in the UK at The Great Escape and Dot To Dot & onto a tour of Africa with punk legends DEATH, they’re only just getting started. 2026 isn’t just another year — it’s the Year of Twenty One.
R.M.F.C. (short for Rock Music Fan Club) is the solo project of Buz Clatworthy, who also plays in bands like Tee Vee Repairmann and 1-800-Mikey.
For R.M.F.C., he writes, performs, and records everything at home in Sydney, with Anti-Fade handling the release of his records.
His songs blend post-punk and garage with a scrappy, lo-fi Devo feel, coming together in something truly great — and we can’t wait to catch it live.
Since forming in early 2021, The Prize have established themselves as one of Melbourne’s premier rock and roll outfits, funnelling vocal soaked hooks and harmonies through a three guitar onslaught and a pulsating rhythm section. Their unique blend of power pop and rock and roll has earned new fans and followers from all sides of the globe. The Prize’s debut EP Wrong Side of Town sold out on the first day of its release and received high praise from the likes of punk legend, Henry Rollins. The band quickly found itself securing plum support slots for bands like the Sunnyboys, Pavement, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard or The Chats among others.
They have recorded another EP and the LP “In the Red” (Anti Fade/Goner), which has propelled them to the top combining triple guitar firepower with incredibily good songwriting and electrifying energy. Whether you’re a power pop geek or just someone who loves kick-ass rock ‘n’ roll, The Prize will give you plenty to get excited about. This is their second European tour, and we can’t wait to see them.
The Monsters where formed in 1986 in small-town Bern, capital of Switzerland. Their sound is a fuzzedout mix between 60ies garage punk, wild teenage trash rockabilly and primitive rock‘n‘roll. Its 187% no MTV and top 100 shit!
Besides the countless shows in Switzerland, The Monsters played extensive tours through Europe including Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Austria, England, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Argentina, Brasil, Mexico, USA, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan and Kenya.
The Monsters are a kickass live band who will burn every stage down. Over the years The Monsters recorded 7 albums, several singles and ep’s and apeared on countless compilations. The record „Youth Against Nature“ was recorded in the now famous Toe Rag Studios (London) by Liam Watson and Robert Butler (Miracle Workers). „I See Dead People“ came with a 1000-piece puzzle, booklet, sticker and button and was allready sold out during the tour. There`s also a limited edition of the 2011 record „…pop up yours“, the Box is made of solid wood with the Monsters integrated as a wildly popular sliding puzzle.
The Monsters appear on Voodoo Rhythm Records, Switzerland. The label is famous for it’s taste and style, as it is for the beautiful artwork. Voodoo Rhythm is run by Beat-Man, who (by accident…) is also the singer and guitar player of The Monsters. Beat-Man played – and still plays – in other projects called Lightning Beat-Man, Reverend Beat-Man, Die Zorros and some more. As a one-man-band he toured all of europe, played venues such as Jazz Festival Montreux, Frat Shack, Dour Festival, Eurocene and Las Vegas Grind (USA) on the same bill with acts like Dick Dale, Public Enemy, Ramones, Prince, Rammstein, Bob Log III and more….
GO SEE THEM LIVE ON STAGE…. THEY BLEW YOUR BRAIN AWAY WITH LOTS OF CHAINSAW MASSACRE GARAGE PUNK AND PRIMITIVE ROCK’N’ROLL TRASH
Thee Headcoats were mainly Billy Childish, Git/Vox, Bruce Brand, drums, (who had already earned the crown of “Kings of Raw Rhythm ’n’ Beat Punk” in the UK with their earlier bands, The Pop Rivets and The Milkshakes), and Johnny Johnson ,bass, and they formed in 1989 after Billy’s previous band Thee Mighty Caesers gave up the ghost. Trying to sum up the career and discography of Thee Headcoats in just a few lines is basically impossible (between 1989 and 1999, Thee Headcoats would go on to record 19 albums and more than double that amount of 45s!!). If you’re heading to Funtastic, we’re pretty sure you already know one of the greatest garage-punk bands ever—but just in case, here’s a link to Damaged Goods, the label that’s released their latest stuff (and yeah, they’re absolute masterpieces).
Since their first—and only— show in our country back in 1997 at “Serie B Festival” , Thee Headcoats haven’t played in Spain again.
As you can imagine, we’re way too excited to sleep!!!
